Because being a dad isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing up, learning, and passing something on.
Founder Adam Kunes, dad to two boys (7 and 4, with a third on the way), was over the parenting blogs and irrelevant books for dads. They missed the point entirely, or leaned too hard into the cheesy “#1 Dad” thing.
After his first son was born, Adam felt siloed. He was one of the first in his circle to have a kid. While his friends were out at happy hour and scheduling tee times, he was at home figuring out how to be a dad.
What he couldn’t find was a space that made dad life feel cool, capable, or connected. So he started building it.

It’s since grown into a community for modern dads who want to take care of themselves while showing up for their families. Because being a dad doesn’t mean giving up who you are; it means leveling up.
About Adam: A Semester at Sea voyage in college cracked his world wide open and set him on a path of building things…from a VHS-to-DVD side hustle that grew into two stores (acquired in 2015) to launching Have Fun Do Good, a do-good adventure travel company sold in 2022.
He’s big on training, travel, and anything that keeps life interesting. When he’s not writing Dad Day, Adam’s usually chasing his kids around Charleston, lacing up for beer league hockey (back-to-back champs, nbd), or out in the water.
